The letter "H"

... was not probably the most exciting letter adventure to share, but for me it was one of my favorites...

We had thrown around a bunch of "H" ideas for the last few months, that's no exaggeration.  First Dallas really wanted to go to a hockey game, but it was the wrong season.  Then we thought of the Herr Museum, but its closed on Dallas' days off...and the rest of our ideas all included out door activities or places.  With extreme heat temperatures, and me not being able to go out in them... I decided on a new idea, an adventure at "home".  We figured we would get Hungry Howies' pizza, a good "h" movie, and beat the "heat" at "Home" in comfy pj's.

(this is the one very pathetic picture I did have time to snag before the chaos really began)

After looking at the selection of movies to rent we went with UP, since it was one the whole family would enjoy...and it was really cute. I prepared the house with lots of old blankets to protect the carpet and couch from any spills or sauce/grease stains Landon might have, pulled out a few balloons (since they went with the movie's theme) and waited for the boys to come home with the pizza.

And although we loved it, I don't plan on doing it again any time soon.
Through the entire movie, Landon couldn't handle the new freedom and excitement. First of all, he was in love with all of the balloons, so he stood right in front of the television pointing and tapping on every balloon he could while repeatedly yelling "balloon, balloon, balloon!" Then he spent the rest of the movie wiggling and jumping from lap to lap, laying across us, behind us, over us, next to us...you get the point.
Plus he had to have some of "dad's" drink then some of "mom's", then he had to give me some of dallas and so on. He continued throughout the movie picking every piece of pineapple off of the pizza and sharing off of each of our plates but never touched his own, except when he stepped right in it and tracked it on the blanket (luckily).

Needless to say, it was the cutest but very exhausting movie and night...and literally and adventure.
