Christmas 2013

Christmas this year was amazing...as it always is!
We had so much fun with the Gilchrist and Gates Family in town...and The Keethers even came to join us this year.  The house was full, but that is what made it so exciting and cozy.
I love a big family at Christmas.
Just as tradition goes...Santa and his elves stopped by for a quick visit on Christmas Eve.  The boys were so impressed.  He even know about Landon's broken Leg and Mason's stitches and asked them all kinds of questions.  Mason was so excited this year...and of course, the candy cane made is whole day!

Christmas Morning the boys were so excited to sport their new Pirate Jammies and were bursting with excitement at the top of the stairs, anxiously waiting of all of us adults to wake up and head down for the presents.
Every year, I swear I am simplifying and downsizing all the gifts.  This year I really did.  But these boys are so well loved by all of our family and friends...they were spoiled again.
And of course Santa came with new exciting bikes, a drifter for Landon, and even a huge seesaw horse for Allette.
We all squished into the family room, with little space left now that all the presents were bursting out from the tree, but is was a wonderful morning with the best company!!
The crazy boys all headed out in the afternoon to go Jet Skiing in the freezing lake.  It must be a boy thing.  Although poor Max and Dylan, our California boys, were frozen to the bone.  But it made for a great story and memorable afternoon!
While the boys when out skiing and the kids played with their new toys, we got going making Christmas Dinner.
Just in time for everyone to come back, socialize and eat a wonderful meal together...followed by games and dessert.  It was a packed day, but so enjoyable.
